Cyber Creator: Dev blog 2: Get Creative with it!

now that we had decided on a project that was not only much more manageable in terms of time frame but also in scope. It was time to start developing some key features.


I first blocked out the first level, which would be for our hamster critter. I did this by adding some collision boxes to the background to imitate platforms.


I created a Portal and a Game Manager prefab which would detect the part being collected and then allow the winning screen to display the individual part that was collected in the selected level. keeping all the code modular would be key to implementing these features quickly. After getting a bit stuck on some layer options, i re-optimized the code in order for the levels to work correctly.




I also created the Google Play account and setup the questionnaire for playtesting. Next ill start to create a soundtrack and some juicy sound effects for various conditions and collisions.
